A recent survey with travel researcher PhoCusWright to add some questions to a travel manager survey they were running. The objective was to understand more about the trends affecting corporate travel buyers and the impact on their organizations.
Question 1:
“In the face of escalating air, hotel and car rental rates, how actively are you evaluating ways to save money in other travel-related spend categories, like ground transportation, meals, etc?”
95% affirmed that they are evaluating other travel related spend, 79% are “actively evaluating”
Question 2:
Which one statement best describers your company’s efforts to promote the use/value of Web/audio/video conferencing for reducing travel expenses and carbon emissions?
70% are promoting or plan to promote conferencing to reduce travel expenses and carbon emissions, nearly half (48%) are actively promoting
Question 3:
“Do you rank employee productivity and satisfaction” as one of your top three priorities when evaluating a new or current online booking tool?”
80% responded that employee productivity and satisfaction are among their top 3 priorities when evaluating online booking tools
